
Participate in Brain Awareness Week!
Start training for the second annual Jog Your Brain event to promote Brain Awareness in Eugene.
The event will take place at Alton Baker Park on Sunday, March 17th at 2:00pm

This 5K race and free Kid’s Fun Run will concludes a week-long series of events for Brain Awareness Week (details below.)
Exhibits and information booths from researchers and community members who work with the brain will be present. Come learn more about the brain, how it works, and how it changes over time.
The Brain Awareness Expo will occur Saturday, March 9 from 1-4 pm at W.O.W. Hall on 8th St. It is a free, family-friendly
event with exhibits and demonstrations showing how various aspects of the brain function, including vision, attention, perception, language, and development. Most of these booths will feature research and knowledge from UO faculty, staff and graduate students, as well a community organizations like The Science Factory.
Brain Trivia Night will take place on Tuesday, March 12 from 7-9pm at The Barnlight. It is open to all ages and will feature questions about the brain for scientists and non-scientists alike. There will be prizes, so come early to join the fun!
Brain Awareness Science Pub, co-sponsored by OMSI, will be Thursday, March 14 at 7:00 pm at Cozmic Pizza. At this free event, UO neuroscientist and faculty member Ed Awh will speak about “The Limited Scope of Conscious Awareness: Insights from Psychology and Neuroscience.”

Healthy Oregon Faculty and Staff Wellness Survey
The results are in! Thank you to everyone who took the time to complete this year’s Healthy Oregon Faculty and Staff Wellness Survey. Healthy Oregon, a Healthy Campus Initiative, launched this survey in May in order to identify and address specific health concerns. The data gathered will be used to develop health and wellness programs specifically for faculty and staff.
